7/14/11 - Live At The Park
On June 9, 2011 Acid Uprising performed live at the Park Bar and Grill in Burbank, CA. It may not seem like that big
of deal, but it was. As you may or may not know, our practice space burned down in June and one of our guitarists left the
band. Those were some dark days and I really thought the band was done. Somehow we pulled our shit together and managed to
continue on and I feel like we are stronger than ever. (watch video)

5/11/11 - Feeding Vegans To Pagans
This is the world premiere of Acid Uprising's "Feeding Vegans To Pagans" music video. The track from the double platinum
album "Obey" tells the story of society's collapse and the demise of mankind. Ha ha ha, I'm completely full of shit, but it
is a really cool video. (watch video)

4/20/11 - Obey
I am proud to announce the official release of my band Acid Uprising's digital album "Obey". After the jump find out
how to get it for free and learn the inside story behind the recording. (more)

3/31/11 - Acid Uprising 7 Song Demo
My band Acid Uprising has just completed a seven-song demo that you can stream and download for free. Don't say I never gave
you anything. Now you can listen to soon-to-be-classics such as "Feeding Vegans To Pagans", "Don't Be A Dick", and "Goat Fucker"
while you work out, take a dump, and masturbate. Technology is an awesome thing.

2/9/11 - Live At The Cobalt
I finally got off my lazy ass and uploaded some videos from my band Acid Uprising's performance last Saturday at the
Cobalt Cafe. The quality isn't the best but it's pretty good considering they were taken with a cell phone. Unfortunately,
you can't really see me which is a shame because I'm wearing a man-thong and a Viking helmet. Enjoy. (watch video)

2/7/11 - Videodrome
Holy smokes, has it really been two months since I've posted? Where does the time go? In my case, I've been working hard on
my new novel as well as with my band Acid Uprising. Also, I got sucked into playing a video game called Fallout: New Vegas.
All of my spare time has been spent wandering the wasteland blasting Supermutants and Deathclaws. I played through all of
the endings and got the platinum trophy so I should have time to write for this site. That is until they release the DLC for
the PS3. Speaking of my band, there's a link below for a fresh video with our new kick-ass guitarist. Check it out.

11/23/10 - Hooray For Violence!
I apologize for not posting in the previous couple of weeks. I've been very busy with a variety of things. Most notably,
working on my new book. After a couple of collections of short stories I've decided to tackle a novel. I'm not abandoning
the short story altogether, I just wanted the challenge of working in the longer form. I will still continue my series of
themed horror collections after I get this beast out of my head. (read more)

11/1/11 - Horns Up
In addition to being a horror writer, I also play drums for a metal/punk band called Acid Uprising. Please don't ask
what the name means it's just too weird to explain. We've been practicing and writing material and are almost ready to record
and play out. My guitarist has posted some videos from our rehearsals on Youtube. Follow the links below to check me out banging
the skins and to read some of the lyrics I wrote.

10/1/10 - Halloween Horrorshow
We sure do love Halloween at stately Anderson Manor. We just got done decorating the house and I figured why not do the
same thing with my website. For the entire month of October cryptoamerican.com will be dedicated to all things horror. Every
post, every ad, everything. Plus I have lots of cool surprises to celebrate the season of scaring. The first big thing is
the awesome sale I'm having on my books. You can get both Cryptic Creatures and Man Made Monsters for $14.99. That's two terrifying
books for one low price. Visit the store for more details. (read more)

9/28/10 - Squid Word
I don't consider myself to be all that tech or net savvy, but I've had to learn a few things to get this site going.
There's no point in doing this if I can't get people visiting. Unfortunately, most of the things I have to do to get the word
out seem kind of stupid. I joined a bunch of social networking sites to increase my on-line presence, but really I hate them.
Even worse are the social bookmarking places like del.ico.us and Digg. I can't for the life of me figure out what their purpose
is or why people waste their time. Recently, I stubbled on Squiddo. It's no less stupid than the other sites, but it's actually
pretty fun. (read more)

9/25/10 - Book Trailer
Wow, two video posts in a row. It's a dream come true for those of you that can't read. Don't get used to it. I don't
anticipate too many more videos in the future. It would seem that my publisher has created a video trailer for my book Cryptic Creatures and posted it to Youtube. Check it out and let me know what you think. (watch video)

9/22/10 - Corn Fed 'n Inbred
And now for something completely different. I recently found an animated trailer I wrote a few years back. It was for
a TV show I had developed. It's about a bunch of backwards-ass country bumpkins that get drunk and have sex with sheep and
their cousins. So if you dig beastiality and incest, and who doesn't, check it out. (watch video)

9/20/10 - Full Frontal Liberty
The good folks at nakedliberty.com have posted my article God Bless The Congress in their latest blog carnival. It's a great political website that places an emphasis on the core values our country was
founded on. If liberty, justice and Constitutional principals get your blood flowing, visit the link below:

8/27/10 - Good News For Cheap Bastards
A few years ago I submitted my first book Man Made Monsters to Googlebooks. It was supposed to make the pages
of my book searchable and be available for purchase as an e-book. I never heard back from them and sort of forgot about the
whole thing. I just did a search and lo and behold, it's up on their site. However, it looks like they've just made it available
to read for free. I guess I should have read the terms a little more closely. It's no big deal. That book has pretty much
done all the business it's going to do and I really just want people to read my work. If you are interested in reading some
killer horror for free, click the link below.

8/27/10 - Crash And Burn
Holy crap. I had the scare of my life a couple of weeks ago. My hard drive crashed and like a dumb-ass, I had a ton of important
stuff I never got around to backing up. Besides a few sentimental items, I had outlines for books I'm working on, film an
TV scripts, and a video project. On top of which, I had over 1000 songs on my iTunes. Thankfully the computer repairman
was able to install a new hard drive and recover all of the files from the old one. You can bet I'll be backing stuff up like
a mofo from now on. So, if you've been wondering why I haven't posted in two weeks it's because my computer was in the shop.

8/11/10 - Cryptic Creatures Available At Barnes & Noble
You can now purchase Cryptic Creatures and Man-Made Monsters online at Barnes & Noble. Of
course both of these wonderful titles are still available at Amazon as well as this very site you are on now. Truth be told,
I make far less from a Barnes & Noble sale than here or on Amazon, but I want to give the consumer as many choices as
possible. That's what Amerca is all about, right? Follow the links below to get to the specific product page:

8/9/10 - Spreadin' The Word About Cryptic Creatures
The good people over at Hellnotes have put up not one but two posts about Cryptic Creatures. It is a super-cool
level of support for my book that, quite frankly, has me a little misty-eyed. If you are unfamiliar with the site, it it features
unique and intelligent commentary on films, fiction, and just about anything related to horror. If you are a fan of the genre,
go check 'em out.

7/31/10 - Brian C. Anderson on Amazon
Great news! You can now buy my books from Amazon. They have great prices and cheap or free shipping. And the best news of
all: I'm an Amazon affiliate. That means I make a little something off of any sale that comes through my website. It's win/win.
Just follow the link for either Cryptic Creatures or Man Made Monsters and a soulless machine will take care of the rest.
