So you think you have something that’s going to blow us away? Great. CAP currently is accepting submissions from first-time authors. We are looking for works of fiction in the form of novels, novelettes, and collections of short stories. In addition, we will accept single short stories for possible inclusion in a compilation.

CAP is a house of horror. We are interested in virtually every element of the genre: monsters, ghosts, paranormal, occult, conspiracy and cover-up, killers, bad science, ancient evil, you name it. If your story is sick and twisted, edgy, and subversive, we’d like to see it.

We are not looking for gothic vampire novels full of cheese and romance. We have no interest in watered-down garbage with mainstream appeal. Also, no poetry, please!

How to Submit. The first step in the process is to send us an e-mail query at submissions@cryptoamerican.com If it looks like something we’d be interested in, we’ll contact you and request a manuscript. Your e-mail should contain the following information:

Title

Author

Word Count

Type (i.e., novel, collection, or short story)

Blurb: This is a one-sentence description of your story.

Synopsis: Try to limit a summary of your story to a paragraph or two. We don’t want to read the entire story in an e-mail; we just want to get the gist of it.

Author Info: This is not required, but if you want to tell us a little something about yourself, feel free.
