The Golem is standing in Ben’s driveway. Ben walks up to it.

BEN

You served me well, but I’m afraid I have to get rid of you.

Ben grabs the Golem by the hand and tries to pull him towards the garage. The Golem resists.

BEN

Golem, I command you to go into the garage so I can deactivate you.

The Golem gets angry. It picks Ben up off the ground.

BEN

Put me down this instance.

The Golem shakes Ben, then tosses him in the bushes. The Golem picks up the back end of Ben’s Cadillac. Ben cries out.

BEN

Not the Caddy.

The Golem  flips the Caddy over onto its roof. The Golem storms off, stomping bushes and knocking over trees. Ben passes out in the bushes.

INT. LORENZO’S HOUSE/KITCHEN - DAY

The Zombie is sitting at the kitchen table polishing silver flatware. Lorenzo walks in with a pistol and a box of shells.

LORENZO

Come on Zombie. Let’s go out in the back yard.

The Zombie gets up and follows Lorenzo outside.

EXT. LORENZO’S BACK YARD - DAY

The Zombie stands staring at Lorenzo as he loads the pistol.

LORENZO

I hate to do this to you, but if I don’t, my wife’s going to leave me.

Lorenzo gets the pistol loaded. He looks at the Zombie.

LORENZO

It’s better this way.

Lorenzo puts the pistol up to the Zombie’s head. The Zombie grabs Lorenzo’s arm and takes a big bite out of it. Lorenzo falls to the ground clutching his bloody wound. He screams in agony.

LORENZO

Bad Zombie.

Lorenzo tries to aim the gun. The Zombie knocks Lorenzo’s hand away. The Zombie bites another big chunk out of Lorenzo’s shoulder. Lorenzo passes out, the gun still in his hand. The Zombie calmly walks off.

INT. JIMBO’S HOUSE/KITCHEN - DAY

Jimbo is standing in the kitchen looking around. He calls out.

JIMBO

Jack. Get in here.

Jack bounds into the room.

JACK

Yes, Dad.

JIMBO

Have you seen my Mandrakes?

JACK

Not since this morning.

JIMBO

I wonder where they are.

Jimbo scratches his head.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT. JANELLE’S CAR - NIGHT

Janelle is driving. Myra sits in the passenger seat.

JANELLE

I’m glad we decided to go. I’ve been wanting to see this show for months.

MYRA

Me too. All of my friends have been raving about it.

JANELLE

What do you say we grab a bite to eat afterwards?

MYRA

Sounds great. I’m in no hurry to get back to my dangerously insane husband.

Janelle and Myra giggle.

EXT. RURAL ROAD - NIGHT

Janelle’s BMW drives down the rural road. There are several Mandrakes clinging to the trunk.

INT. SINISTER MOBILE - NIGHT

Sam is driving down the highway. Natasha is next to him. She is staring at him.

SAM

Do you have a question?

NATASHA

You’re a pretty interesting guy. I mean, I know about the exorcism and how you got your calling to fight against evil, but...

SAM

But what?

NATASHA

What made you become a priest in the first place?

Sam looks over to Natasha.

SAM

Why don’t you tell me why you are so fascinated by death and dead things?

NATASHA

We’re talking about you, not me. Come on, tell me why you went into the priesthood.

SAM

Let’s just say it was the path chosen for me.

Natasha rolls her eyes. Sam sinks into deep contemplation. CLOSE-UP on Sam’s eyes. They are burning with intensity.

DISSOLVE TO:

FLASHBACK:

INT. GROTTO - NIGHT

Similar scene to Sam’s dream. There is a circle of hooded humans surrounding an altar. The Dark Priest stands inside the circle. Two hooded cult members are restraining a teenage version of Sam. He struggles to no avail.

Sam’s MOTHER and FATHER are strapped to the altar. The Dark Priest raises a ceremonial dagger above his head. As before, the Dark Priest’s face cannot be seen.

DARK PRIEST

In the name of The Great Deceiver, we offer this sacrifice of blood. Deliver us to evil so that we may crush all that is holy.

Sam struggles. He screams out.

SAM

Mother. Father. No!

The Dark Priest brings the dagger down with force. Sam turns his head. He hears his Parent’s SCREAMS and the sound of the knife PLUNGING into them.

After several horrific moments, the screaming stops. Sam looks up and sees the Dark Priest standing in front of him holding the bloody dagger.

DARK PRIEST

We are ready for you now, Sam.

SAM

I hope you burn in hell.

DARK PRIEST

I hope so too, but first I need your virgin blood.

The Dark Priest holds the dagger, ready to strike Sam with it. Just then the door bursts open and several Cops rush in. COP #1 points his gun at the Dark Priest.

COP #1

Freeze.

The Dark Priest tries to stab Sam, but Cop #1 shoots the dagger out of his hand. The Dark Priest turns and runs out of the grotto. COP #2 chases after him. The rest of the cops begin arresting the hooded cultists.

Cop #1 comes up to Sam, who’s crying.

COP #1

Are you okay, kid? What happened here?

SAM

They killed my parents.

COP #1

Don’t worry, these Satan worshippers will pay for this.

Sam continues crying.

COP #1

At least they didn’t get you. It looks like an angel is watching over you.

Cop #2 returns. He approaches Cop #1.

COP #2

The leader got away.

Sam is shocked.

SAM

No!

Cop #2 looks at Sam.

COP #2

Don’t sweat it, kid. We’ll get him. We’re not going to let him hurt you.

Sam is not convinced by the insincere Cop.

EXT. MONASTERY - NIGHT

It is dark and raining. Sam and Cop #1 stand before the huge wooden doors of the monastery. The doors open, and there stands Father James.

COP #1

I didn’t know where else to take him.

Father James looks at Sam, who is sad and rain-soaked.

FATHER JAMES

We’ll take care of him.

Father James leads Sam into the monastery. He shuts the huge doors.

END FLASHBACK

DISSOLVE TO:

INT. SINISTER MOBILE - NIGHT

Sam is still driving, though he isn’t focused on the road. He begins to drift into the other lane. Natasha grabs the wheel and corrects his steering.

NATASHA

Are you all right?

Sam snaps out of it.

SAM

Huh? - - I’m fine.

NATASHA

Maybe you better let me drive.

Sam ignores her.

INT. SKIP’S HOUSE/LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Anita, Ty, and Jenny are playing cards on the floor. Skip is on the phone.

SKIP

(into phone)

That’s super news. Thanks for calling.

Skip hangs up the phone and turns to his family with a big smile.

SKIP

Guess what family. It’s official. I got the promotion.

Anita, Ty and Jenny jump up elated.

ANITA

I’m so proud of you Skip.

SKIP

All of our dreams have finally come true. We can move to a much bigger house, and put the kids in a private school where they can learn the Ten Commandments.

Skip looks at Jenny.

SKIP

And Daddy is finally going to get you that pony you’ve always wanted.

JENNY

Daddy, I love you so much.

TY

Yeah, you’re the best.

The entire family joins in a group hug.

JENNY

Can Ty and I go out back and catch fireflies?

SKIP

You sure can princess.

Jenny and Ty run excited from the room.

EXT. SKIP’S BACK YARD - NIGHT

Ty and Jenny are running around the back yard catching fireflies. Jenny is chasing down a firefly when she finds herself face to face with the Zombie and Lorenzo, who is also now a zombie. Jenny is startled.

JENNY

Hi Mr. Sable. Who’s your friend?

Lorenzo doesn’t answer. Jenny begins to feel that something is wrong. Ty runs up and stands by his sister’s side. The Zombie and Lorenzo reach for the kids. They SCREAM.

INT. SKIP’S HOUSE/LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Skip and Anita hear Ty and Jenny’s SCREAMS. Anita smiles.

ANITA

Sounds like the kids are having fun.

SKIP

They deserve it.

ANITA

So do you. I think maybe you’re due for a reward.

Anita kisses Skip.

SKIP

Anita, you’re so naughty.

There is a heavy KNOCK at the door.

SKIP

It’s nearly eight. Who could it be at this hour?

Skip and Anita go to the door. Skip opens the door and is horrified to see the Golem on the porch. The Golem grabs Skip and Anita and drags them out of the house.

EXT. CUL-DE-SAC - NIGHT

Ben crawls out of the bushes. He sees the Golem holding Skip and Anita across the cul-de-sac. He rushes over.

BEN

Golem. No!

The Golem crushes Skip and Anita. He tosses their lifeless bodies to the ground. The Golem turns to Ben with an angry face. The Golem tries to grab Ben, but he turns and runs. The Golem stomps after him.

INT. JIMBO’S HOUSE/DEN - NIGHT

Jimbo is watching TV when he hears a frantic KNOCK at his door. He gets up and opens the door. A panicked Ben bolts in and shuts the door behind him.

JIMBO

Did you hear someone invite you in?

BEN

We have a big problem. My Golem is on a mad rampage.

JIMBO

That sounds like your problem.

BEN

He just mauled Skip and Anita, and now he’s coming for the rest of us. We have to get out of here.

Jimbo laughs.

JIMBO

How much wine did you have at dinner?

BEN

You don’t believe me? Go see for yourself.

JIMBO

If it’ll make you get out of my house, fine.

Jimbo opens the door and exits. Ben shuts the door behind him.

EXT. JIMBO’S HOUSE - NIGHT

Jimbo is in the front yard. He looks around, but sees nothing unusual. He turns to go back to his house when he is met by the Zombie, Lorenzo, and the recently zombified Ty and Jenny. Jimbo looks at Lorenzo.

JIMBO

Geeze, Lorenzo. You don’t look so good.

All four zombies grab Jimbo. They claw at him and try to bite. He fights them off and scrambles back to his front door. He quickly enters the house.

INT. JIMBO’S HOUSE/DEN - NIGHT

Jimbo is out of breath and his clothes are torn. Ben helps him into a chair.

BEN

I told you my Golem went crazy.

JIMBO

We may have bigger problems. Looks like Lorenzo and the Bath kids have been turned into zombies.

BEN

Don’t you see what is happening? We all fooled around with the forces of evil and now our creations have turned on us.

JIMBO

Speak for yourself. You don’t see my Mandrakes causing any trouble, do you?

Unsure, Jimbo looks around.

INT. JANELLE’S CAR - NIGHT

Janelle is still driving and Myra is next to her.

JANELLE

I better step on it. we’re running late.

Just then, a Mandrake leaps from the back seat and grabs onto Janelle’s face. Janelle SCREAMS as she tries to pry it off her face. Janelle loses control of the car.

EXT. RURAL ROAD - NIGHT

Janelle’s car spins out of control. It leaves the road, crashes through a fence and slams into a tree.

INT. JANELLE’S CAR - NIGHT

The Mandrake is still on Janelle’s face. Myra yanks it off. She opens the door, tosses the Mandrake out, and slams the door shut. Both women have cuts and bruises and are shaken up.

MYRA

Are you okay?

JANELLE

I think so. What the hell was that?

MYRA

One of Jimbo Sparks’ Mandrakes.

JANELLE

Why did it attack me?

Myra sees several Mandrakes standing on the hood. They all have menacing looks.

MYRA

I don’t know, but it brought some friends.

Janelle sees the Mandrakes.

JANELLE

What are we going to do?

The Mandrakes begin pulling off the windshield wipers and the antenna.

EXT. RURAL ROAD - NIGHT

The Mandrakes tear Janelle’s car apart. Yanking off the trim, rubber, and hubcaps. Inside, Janelle and Myra SCREAM.

INT. JIMBO’S HOUSE/DEN - NIGHT

Jimbo, Jack, and Ben are standing, all outfitted with hammers and nails.

JIMBO

(to Jack)

We have to secure the house, son. Nail every door and window shut. There’s Golems and Zombies all over the place and we gotta keep ‘em out.

JACK

Maybe they’re just trick or treaters.

JIMBO

I seriously doubt that. Now, let’s get moving.

Jack, Ben, and Jimbo spring into action.
